Behringer Ultrafex Stereo Multiband Processor
with Surround Processor
Behringer Ultrafex EX3000
The ULTRAFEX is one of the best-selling psychoacoustics devices worldwide. Its "Natural Sonic" processor guarantees aural improvement and high-end transparency, and the integrated bass processor works wonders for your audio's low end. In addition, the EX3000's adjustable surround processor allows flexible widening of the stereo spatial effect.
Behringer Ultrafex EX3000 Applications
Multi-band Spatial Sound Enhancement Processor
Improves presence and transparency of any program material
Improves intelligibility
Improves and widens spatial image even beyond the speakers
Produces more powerful, fuller bass
Increases subjective volume level
Reduces listening fatigue
The Behringer "Natural Sonic" Processor
The upper-frequencies processor has 2 controls per channel. "Tune" alters the high pass filter cut-off determining how much of the spectrum is to be processed. "High Mix" sets the degree of processing required. The "Process"-control enables you to mix between 2 effects, until you find a balance that is perfect for your music. As the control is turned clockwise, the ratio of "classical" enhancement decreases, while that of the other processor, a more aggressive exciter, increases. A 50/50 blend occurs at the zero position.
Integrated Bass Processor
The Ultrafex comes with a separate Bass Processor for low frequency enhancement, with variable process amount and switchable corner frequency ("low" and "ultra-low"). Additionally you can choose between "hard" and "soft" sound processing.
Surround Processor
The subjective impression a sound produces can largely depend on the positioning of the instruments within the stereo field — an often neglected fact. Therefore, the Ultrafex has integrated an adjustable Surround Processor in the Ultrafex, which is able to dramatically improve the intensity of the spatial stereo effect. Your program material gains in liveliness, depth and transparency. As in a cinema or theatre system, you have the impression that the orchestral instruments are placed all around you. The Surround Processor enlarges your stereo image dependent upon the program material without coloring the sonic image.
