Improve the performance of your equipment with this black, 14 Gauge, 10 foot cable with noise filter and USA standard grounded plug. This is a standard IEC, 3 conductor computer-type cord, 320 specification.
Most IEC cords are 18 gauge, limited to 10 amps. Do not consider an upgrade cable that is 18 or 16 gauge, no matter what hype is in the the description. Check your cords, look at the gauge.
These cords will allow the maximum power the IEC connectors (and that includes the expensive connectors on expensive cables!) are rated: 15 amps continuous or 1875 watts 120 volts AC, or 50% more current, and even more during short-term peaks. This adds up to a more efficient transfer and use of power. Great for power amps, CD players, mixers, pre amps, multi media gear, home theater systems, etc., or just about any audio equipment that a computer power cord will fit.
The ferrite core filter is bi-directional and absorbs high frequency noise that may be superimposed on the ideal noise-free 60 Hz sinewave power going in, and any noise that might be produced and coming out of the power supply of your equipment, reducing cross-interference noise on other equipment.

As stated above: This 14 gauge cable will handle the maximum that all standard configuration IEC connectors and the plug are rated to carry! The IEC connector is 15 amps, the plug, 15 amps, and the wire is 15 amps. Matched components. Twelve, or even larger gauge wire, starts to make some sense at about 20 feet or longer and/or if your outlet is on 12 gauge wire with a 20 amp dedicated breaker. Don't spend $80 to $100 or more on expensive cables without first running one or more separate power circuits on 12 guage or heavier wire. You can't just ignore the house wiring! It would be an understatement to say putting a fire hose (or 2 or 3) on the end of your little garden hose house wiring will not make it the same as a fire hose connected to a fire hydrant. Most home outlets have 15 amp breakers with 14 gauge wire and there may be other loaded outlets on the same breaker, further reducing the available power. These cables match what most users have available, without going way over.
Others make incredible, nonsensical, pseudo-scientific, unprovable claims about power cords. Save your money! Put these on all your gear for the price of a single exotic cable.
