Here are two identical unrestored Mills amplifiers from the 1930's. I do not do amplifier repair and these have not been tested or checked out. I believe that the transformers are original and they do not show any obvious indications that there are any problems with them. No tubes are included. Each amplifier uses five tubes - two type 2A3, one type 30, one type 32 and one type 5Z3. As I understand it these would be suitable for a monoblock sound system installation. The amp on the right in the first photo has nice original paint. The paint on the amp on the left has flaked off some and there are a few rusty areas. This amp is also missing one of the round can type capacitors and it appears that the small transformer on the rop rear corner is not original. At least it is not identical to the transformer in the same location on the other amplifier because it has an aluminum cover and is not painted. Each amplifier measures about 7.5 by 13.5 inches.
